I'm about to go to Ravinia to hear one of the weirdest things I've heard of. The weather seems to be holding, and I did spend $30 for a lawn seat, so I should go. My friends assure me this will be cool.
As I was doing other things, the US Air Force Thunderbirds were practicing for this weekend Air and Water Show, which promises to have a lot of water in the air tomorrow. So today's practice might have been our only chance to hear see them. And see them I did as they passed within a kilometer of my apartment doing about 750 km/h:
We'll see if the forecast changes, but right now tomorrow afternoon looks pretty rainy. Sunday, though, looks great.
